Ian is the Senior Partner at Tempus Delay Analysis LLP and leads a specialist team providing advice, support and expert analysis in relation to delay and disruption as it affects the construction and engineering industries both in the UK and internationally, and specialises in forensic investigation of construction and engineering delays.
Work has involved demonstrating the cause and extent of delay and disruption to construction and engineering projects including numerous different building types, bulk earthmoving and major road and bridge works, the construction of power stations (nuclear, coal, hydro and solar), oil and gas platforms, pipelines and refineries, harbours and airports, military installations and process engineering facilities, wind farms and high specification hotel and residential developments. Work has also involved advising developers, architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors on delay/extension of time issues during the course of projects. Ian has extensive experience acting as expert witness and has given oral evidence in trials and arbitration hearings (both in the UK and internationally) on more than 20 occasions over the past 25 years.
Ian is currently listed as a Thought Leader by Who’s Who Legal, whose respondents described him as “very experienced, persuasive and calm under pressure” and “one of the best delay analysts around”.
